My name is Puck Meijer (*1945) and I paint the landscapes in my area on (usually) large canvases in oil. The technology for this developed slowly. It started in my youth with oil paint, then music (viola da gamba), then university Cultural Sciences and finally paint again. At Mart Franken in Bergen op Zoom I learned to work with acrylic (2010-2011 portrait and model) and at the Old Painting Techniques Training in Den Bosch (2013-2014) and various courses afterwards, a.o. René Klarenbeek in The Hague (2016-2018) I became acquainted with the working method of the old masters: silver marker, (reed) pen, egg tempera and various oil painting techniques. Music, art history and the various lessons in drawing and painting form the basis on which I continued and they all play a role in the painting practice of today.
